After School Clubs

After School Clubs provide fun and constructive activities for middle school students in a safe, supervised setting after school. Students choose from a variety of clubs led by teachers, After School Club staff, and community partners.  After School Clubs in Otoe County are provided through a partnership between Partners for Otoe County and the local school districts.

Program Locations and Times

Before and After School Clubs are offered at the Nebraska City Middle School from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. and 3:50 to 5:00 p.m. each day school is in session. There are two clubs to choose from before school and three to choose from after school.  All middle school students are welcome to register for a single club, several clubs, or every day.  There is no registration fee to participate.  Funding for After School Clubs at Nebraska City Middle School is provided by a 21st Century Learning Grant to Nebraska City Public Schools and grants to People United for Families from the Nebraska Arts Council, The Steinhart Foundation, the Kropp Foundation and the United Way of Nebraska City.

After School Clubs are offered at Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca Middle School from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.  Mondays through Thursdays each day school is in session. All middle school students are welcome. A different club is offered each day of the week. Students may register for one to four clubs each week. The options are flexible to meet individual student interests and family needs. There is no registration fee to participate.  Funding for After School Clubs at Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca Middle School is provided by grants from the Nebraska Crime Commission,  the Nebraska Arts Council, The Steinhart Foundation, the Kropp Foundation and the United Way of Nebraska City.

Register for After School Clubs at your middle school. Registration forms are available every school quarter in your school office.
